A Gastronomic Adventure Awaits You at Starlight Carnival

Genting Highlands, 11 October 2019 – Resort’s World Genting’s First-Ever Starlight Carnival will be taking place over the span of three weeks with various must watch attractions, on every Thursday to Saturday from 6:00pm to 12:00am [Thursday and Friday] and 3:00pm to 1:00am on Saturday. The likes of Carnival Cinema featuring blockbuster movies to various music performances by tribute bands to an Oktoberfest Hall with an array of food trucks and beverages to pick from.

Some of the food that will be made available throughout the Starlight Carnival event such as dining in at Cosmic Café that will feature top local favorites are Nasi Kukus Ayam Berempah, Nasi Lemak with Condiment, Nasi Ayam, Bee Bakso, Rojak Pasembor, Chicken Noodle Soup, Chicken Shawarma, Chicken Popcorn, and Chicken Kebab.

Aside from local favourites there is Gourmet Italian Cuisine called Il Lago which will feature Italian staples such as pastas, pizzas, deserts and drinks. Pasta fans can enjoy the following must haves – Pomodoro pasta, meatball pasta, and aglio olio. For those who prefers something else may opt for these pizzas – margherita, Americana, and Peperoni. As for deserts, indulge in the Tiramisu as it’s a classic that is not only light but delicious too.

There will also be dining provided inside the Oktoberfest Hall and these would include bar food and finger food. Start off with Mexican food at the Nachos kiosk which includes a classic nachos that comes with tortilla chips, nacho cheese sauce, jalapenos, diced tomatoes, and scallions or if you want a little extra then go for chili con carne or smoked and hoisin sauce. From there you can make your way to something heavier and convenient at the burger and sausages kiosk, with favourites being the cheesy beef burger or the classic BBQ chicken burger. Of course you can choose to splurge further as we have also the spicy lamb burger that is dressed in cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, gherkins, chili mint sauce, and signature burger sauce. Sausages come in four different styles consisting of Spicy Tijuana Sausage, Coney Island Sausage, Truffle Sausage, and Kimchi Sausage.

What is a carnival without chicken wings and skewers? The best part being they come with various sauces like Hoisin BBQ, Orange Paprika, and Coconut Curry. You can also choose between Peri Peri or Garlic Butter Parmesan and Madras Curry Chicken Skewer.

Have a drink or two or more with 19 different types of premium beers from Carlsberg Special Brew to Brooklyn OPA, Kronenbourg 1664 blanc, Asahi Super Dry, Connors’s Scout Porter, Franzikaner Hefe to Somersby, SKOL, Cornoa, Erdinger Wissbier, Konig Ludwig and Warsteiner Premium Larger.

Fuhu has also a snack kiosk tucked just in front of the Star Lake. Choose from the delicious snacks such as Fuhu spice beef taco, duck essence porridge, squid ink prawn toast and cheese baked curry egg tart to name a few. They are perfect bites when watching the Star Lake water performance or when watching the movies.

There is also Harry Ramden’s Fish & Chips for those who love this simple yet delightful meal. From Nestle, there is the La Cremeria Ice Cream Tent and Sjora Truck for soft drinks. These two tents are a must visit as they have fantastic instagrammable backdrops and cute set ups that one should not miss.

With everything being affordably priced, one will be totally spoilt for choice.

Starlight Carnival Details

The Starlight Carnival takes place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 October to 2 November 2019. The Halloween Weekend will run from 31 October to 2 November 2019, with the special event Starlight Carnival presents Zouk Live! On 2 November 2019. Tickets are now available, priced at RM20 for General Admission with a RM4 processing fee, while children below 12 years old enter free of charge.
