Readers may remember Everyday Food I Love talking about one of the best kept secrets of Petaling Jaya; an Italian Restaurant par excellence in Taman Paramount! I remember my first visit to this place with Angeline fondly, and if you are curious, you can read more about that here . But enough of that walk down memory lane, the year is about to end and boy, do we have news for you! They have a 5-course New Year's Eve menu specially prepared for you. No, I didn't get to try it yet , The fun starts in just a few more hours!

Ever since it's opening this year on the 17th February 2017 , the Table has been delighting fans of Japanese Cuisine at Isetan : The Japan Store here in Lot 10. I have not had the pleasure of attending it's opening ceremony, but there have been plenty of mixed reviews since then. My expectations were definitely aroused when I received the invitation to this event put together by Kirin Ichiban of Japan in collaboration with the Table, Isetan Lot 10.

Created by the team behind Asia’s best nightclub, Zouk Singapore, Zouk Genting is set to revolutionize Malaysia’s nightlife scene with four distinctive destination zones, Zouk Beach, Zouk Club, Capital (opening in Q2 2018) and RedTail Bar by Zouk (“RedTail”), all under one roof, allowing patrons to enjoy endless luxury in an array of ambiances.  RedTail, covering 4,289 sq ft, is able to accommodate up to 150 guests—and while it is designed to be a millennial magnet, it will appeal to patrons of all ages.

We at Everyday Food I Love has had the pleasure of trying out some of the new outlets over the course of 2017, but La Fiesta has got to be one of the more exclusive experiences as it offers authentic Spanish cuisine. Here is how my first visit to this establishment went down.

My decision to undertake a cruise review on-board the  Costa Victoria , raised many an eyebrow. For one, I am not known to be the seafaring sort, and second, I have no idea how to swim.  Well, f**k that, this is 2017, so out the window goes that rubbish.  Despite this, I am an adventurer at heart and an offer to experience an Italian Cruise at sea isn't something that comes your way all the time, so I took it.

This restaurant is one of my favourite places to visit at Resorts World Genting! When enjoying the cool clime of the City in the Clouds, nothing beats having spicy food and good drink at the same time. I especially love it at night, when the place is a little foggy and you can focus on the food and the discussion at your table without breaking a sweat. You really have to visit this place during the day and at night to understand what I am writing about.

Tiger Beer fans who have been eagerly waiting for another taste of the unique audiovisual experience of #UncageMusic were in for some pulsating psych-rock night at The Bee, Publika.  Following the spectacular performance by FKJ in September, this show by Tiger #UncageMusic was headlined by the Australian psychedelic rock band, POND. With a strong association to Tame Impala, POND’s Nick Allbrook with Jay Watson and Joe Ryan brought their fuzzy, modern brand of glam pop to life for their Malaysian fans.

For many years now I have confined my travels to land-based adventures, with the occasional air flights to transit places both near and far. And to the surprise of many, for the second-time this year, I found myself on another sea voyage, this time aboard an Italian luxury cruise liner, the Costa Victoria. You may remember, my last visit to the Genting International Showroom was to catch the live-stage performance of Soul of Shaolin: Hui Guang's Story. Well, that show is now long over, the latest show is now here and it's called Adventures of the Monkey King : The Golden Hooped Rod , performed by the  The Nanjing Acrobatic Troupe.

The good chef was in Kuala Lumpur recently, to delight patrons of Zipangu Super Dining restaurant at the Shangri-la Hotel Kuala Lumpur with his Kaiseki Cuisine for the dinner set and special lunch menu set.

I Go Cafe located at Jalan Genting Klang has just opened up its door to public last week, the cafe is teeming with furry cuteness. Here are the new spots to get in on the action, whether it's coffee for you or treats for your pet. This place also has a pets grooming salon. As you enter the venue, the dogs are visible through a black fence. This cafe is like a petting zoo where you can get up close and personal with the dogs and their owners. While watching the dogs roam around and pose, enjoy treats from their small menu, like coffee and cakes.

2 and 3 September 2017 welcomed the 2017 FIM Asia SuperMoto Championship to one of the highly prestigious global motorsport circuit, the Thailand Circuit Motorsport Complex, witnessed a significant change to the SuperMoto landscape in Thailand. The Thai community and families across the world flocked to the circuit over the race weekend to see the beginning of another fantastic Asia SuperMoto season with 17 riders from 13 countries competing for standing points and the championship title. While it can be considered as a good omen to steal the opening round trophy, the journey is still far away from the ultimate crown this season.

The YOLO Run is a fun (5KM) and performance run (10KM + 21KM) event where participants are encouraged to free themselves, be a part of a run that gives back and also partake in a mass yoga session (Yoga Lab) after the run. The spirit of the YOLO Run draws from the aphorism "You Only Live Once" and encourages participants to seize the day, not care about what people think, and free themselves from labels, stereotypes, body types and inhibitions. This action of liberation is signified by participants running shirtless and is supported by X-Change Republic (the creators of the YOLO Run), through donations to the adopted beneficiary (Community Chest) for every runner who runs shirtless. YOLO Run believes in the appreciation of life. Everyone only lives each day once, therefore when one is able to, he should always help those in need, simply because there could never be another chance for it.

I will be the first to tell you, as a confirmed landlubber, I have never been on a luxury cruise liner before. Barring a fishing day-trip off Port Klang, I have steadfastly avoided making any voyage out to open sea over the years because of my inability to swim. I was raised on a farm, so open plains and mountains have always been more to my liking compared to large bodies of water.

15 avid cyclists from Malaysia were invited for the Asian Bike Tour (Northern Thailand). This race offer a huge prize over USD$3000 for 1st prize and USD$300 less for every subsequent position till 10th place. This is an epic bike tournament with over 17000 m of elevation and to covered 1200 km in 7 days race. The gradients on climbs often exceeded 20%. It was really impossible to make it with my Cervelo R2 - 32 tooth cassette.

Like previous years, this evening's fundraising event by ChildAid Asia KL strives to touch the lives of underprivileged children with the gift of music. This concert that features some 100 young participants, 70% of them local children, is held in the name of helping to provide talented but underprivileged children with an education in the performing arts.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Patrons of the Fine Arts, listen up! Word is that Southeast Asia’s largest modern circus troupe, Cré Arts Asia, will be performing for the first time in Malaysia at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC) from 29 September to 1 October 2017! I found out last Thursday at the Press Conference at the Good vibe, where the announcement was made and a preview of what is to come was showcased.

Come end-November, local and international visitors will be able to get a glimpse of two of the world’s rarest macaws—the Spix’s macaw and the Lear’s macaw—in Jurong Bird Park, Asia’s largest bird paradise. With the addition of these two species to the Hyacinth macaws that already reside in the park, Jurong Bird Park will be the only public zoological institution in the world where guests can view the complete blue macaw family. The Glaucous macaw—the last member of the blue macaw family—has not been sighted since the 1960s and is believed to be extinct.

A historic turn for the FIM Asia SuperMoto Championship as the 2017 race will be streamed live on twenty3.tv for global fans to indulge in an action-packed race between the world’s best SuperMoto riders. Twenty3.tv, an Over-The-Top (OTT) platform innovated by E-Plus Global Sdn Bhd, will stream the race in HD at 11:00AM and 10:00AM (+7:00GMT) on 2 and 3 September 2017 respectively.

You Only Live Once (YOLO), Singapore’s reputed run event will happen in Bangkok, Thailand on 10 September 2017. After two successful years in Singapore with 3,000 participants in 2015 and 9,000 participants in 2016, the inaugural YOLO Run BKK will take off at the King Rama IX Park with 5KM and 10KM category options. For every participant that signs up for the Full Package, YOLO Run BKK will donate THB80 to the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation.
