Rosalind never forgot her childhood dream even as she furthered her studies abroad. When she took up business and law studies in Britain, followed by a BA degree from the American University of Sarasota through an affiliated British night school, she continued with her hobby and learnt the finer arts of cake decorating from top British cake designers and decorators.
“I hope to inspire all women that everything is indeed possible, if there is determination and faith to achieve one’s dream. I started in the business and law sector, and decided to move on with my passion instead which is all about cake decorating and creating sugar art designs!” she added.
Rosalind has furthered her passion with her debut entrepreneurial venture with the opening of International Centre of Cake Artistry in Malaysia and Sugar Tiers in Canada, offering the most up-to-date cake decorating materials and tools sourced internationally.
Rosalind was also awarded the International Instructor Award by Wilton Industries (U.S.A) in 1997 and was inducted into their Wilton Hall of Fame the same year. This year, she has been nominated for the prestigious International Cake Exploration Societe (USA) Hall of Fame Award taking place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA at the beginning of August.
Today, not only is she a Wilton Method Instructor and an International Sugarpaste Artist, she is also the first Chinese certified by Wilton Industries in Chicago to be a Lead Trainer on their International Training Team.
She not only holds the authorization from Wilton Industries (USA) to conduct their Wilton programs in Malaysia, but she has also secured the endorsement from Squires Kitchen (UK) to hold and conduct their UK professional cake decorating diploma courses as their first international instructor at her centres in Malaysia.

From the time she started holding a piping bag and began decorating her first wedding cake, her cakes have wowed many audiences. A Childhood Dream Come True
Baking and designing “is in her blood”. She grew up amidst beautifully decorated birthday cakes that her mother, her mentor till today, baked and created. At a very tender age, Rosalind was drawn to baking. With a keen eye for detail and colour, she aspired to pursue her childhood interest when she grew up. Rosalind never forgot her childhood dream even as she furthered her studies abroad. The outlet has a vast range of cake decorating and baking equipment and tools sourced internationally for sale, an in-house and take out bakery catering to creating customized celebration cakes and dainty French pastries and a training centre that offers basic to advanced cake decorating and baking courses.
Her cupcakes were highlighted in a write up in the Toronto Star. Her wedding cakes were featured in episodes of the Canadian wedding reality shows, “In Law Wedding Wars” and “Four Weddings” on the Canadian Television Network “Slice”. A Philanthropist
Besides cake decorating, Rosalind often finds ways to contribute back to the society. Her schools in Malaysia offers full cake decorating scholarships to students who have a passion for the art but are unable to pursue due to financial situations and commitments. Not only does she believe in just offering scholarships, she also contributes to charity events every year in Malaysia e.g. old folk’s homes, shelters and orphanages. In her outlet in Markham, Ontario, she regularly contributes to charitable training programs.
Not only does Rosalind contributes to charitable programs in Malaysia and Canada, she has gone afar as Shanghai to do her charitable duties. Rosalind taught the youths at the Shanghai Young Bakers Association last year, a charity program part of Chiheng Foundation that provides a one year free training in French bakery and pastry to underprivileged Chinese youth aged 17 to 23, thus enabling them to lead independent and dignified lives upon graduation, the finer art of cake decorating. She will be returning once more to Shanghai in March this year to fulfill her commitment to this charitable program again.
Even though Rosalind now resides permanently with her family in Ontario, Canada, she regularly travels back on business to Asia, especially to her home country Malaysia.
