Think Tank Creations continues to revolutionize the food movement in KK by launching their Saturday Gourmet Night. According to Director of Operations, Chef Leonel Velazquez, “Bomber’s Burger is a 1950s-inspired restaurant that allows visitors to go back in time to the days of drive-in movies and rock and roll. When we first opened our doors, we set out to create a restaurant that offers a great environment, great prices and great food.”

After the huge success of the Kota Kinabalu instalment of the 2013 Property Investment and Home Expo (PIHex), excitement is in the air with the Sandakan edition approaching soon! PIHex Sandakan will be held for three (3) days from 14 to 16 June 2013 at the Yu Yuan Secondary School from 10:00am to 8:00pm daily. Public admission is free of charge. The Expo will feature over 50 booths. The participating developers will present their projects in Sandakan including commercial shop lots, commercial retail, residences and many new projects.

ILotus Seafood Restaurant is located at Kepayan Point along the Penampang bypass. This halal seafood restaurant is actually a branch of the much successful first outlet in Brunei.

This restaurant located at Towering area opposite Bintang Ramai, serving up some good Chinese food, dumpling (wor tip), claypot chicken rice and pork stomach soup with a considerable reasonable price.

Sushi Tei served quality Japanese cuisine at an affordable price. Conveniently located at Suria Sabah, it is a restaurant that I will visit from time to time.

Restaurant Bao Kang is located at 1Borneo, Gourmet Lane, right next to My Kitchen. The restaurant operated during daytime serving variety of noodle dishes and rice dishes as well as Bakso, Soto and Economy Rice.

Fonterra Pastry and Pizza Challenge returned with much panache this year with 19 finalists armed with their fighting tongs and battle spatulas serving up outstanding pizzas and decadent cakes. Fonterra Foodservices upped the ante on the challenge this year and went haute with the theme “French Reminiscent”.

Nyonya Style of cooking is the result of fusion between Malay and Chinese, originated from Melaka. However it has recently been commercialised and many restaurants preparing these delicacies can be found every part of Malaysia now. Coffee Tea is a humble cafe located next to an optical shop near Giant Hypermarket. This cafe is easily noticeable with its huge crowds during peak hours. From Kuching Laksa, Soup Noodle to Fried Rice and Macau Pork/Chicken Bun, the cafe serves decent yet affordable meal which attracted many staffs as well as shop-goers patronizing.

This exclusive by-invitation-only ceremony was designed as a networking event and as a gesture of gratitude from the organisers for the support of the KK Food Fest's participants, sponsors, advertisers, invited guests and members of the media. Certificates of participation were presented to all the restaurants, cafes, hotels and bistros that took part in this year’s KK Food Festival and made it a success. And the winner of the Scan and Win Contest who will take home a brand new Acer Iconia B1 was also announced during the ceremony.

CATCH 22, the latest seafood restaurant with a new twist! Think Tank Creations, the new food empire in town is back again with another creation, CATCH 22, a globally inspired seafood restaurant unlike any other in KK! After the success of other restaurants opened by them (Bomber’s Buger and Chiwawa Mexican Food), the team at Think Tank Creations decided to venture into another new outlet located at the busy Sadong Jaya area.

One of my favorite coffee shop in KK is Kedai Kopi Dat Seng which is located at Inanam Business Centre, this shop is always crowded especially during weekend. They serve a variety of noodles but the main specialties are fish head and tom yam noodle. If you're going for fish head noodles, you can choose your fish to be fried or freshly boiled, and also choose your prefer broth either cooked with salted veggie, bitter gourd and spinach. Portion is quite big and really value for money. Others than that you can also choose the vegetable for your bowl of noodle.

This eateries in KK are always crowded with patrons. Used to be one of my favorite place for noodle years ago, it had been quite some times since my last visit to Houng Kee. A steaming hot bowl of 'Yu Chap' (Mixed Fish) with noodle and a small piece of stuffed bean curd, is just a perfect breakfast to have in KK.

Located at the row adjacent to Giant supermarket, this restaurant serves Beaufort styled Chinese dishes. Their signature dishes including the Claypot Seafood with Beancurd, Stir-fried Choy Sum with Char Siu, Beaufort Noodle as well as Soy Sauce Chicken.
