Yu Sang, RM35.00
A Prosperity Toss dish, also known as lou sang (Teochew-style raw fish salad) is a symbol of abundance, prosperity and vigor. It usually consists of strips of raw fish (most commonly salmon), mixed with shredded vegetables and a variety of sauces and condiments, among other ingredients. Yu Sang literally means "raw fish" but since "fish" is interpreted as meaning an increase in abundance. It is highly consumpted during the Chinese New Year festivities in Malaysia and Singapore, especially on an official functions during the festive period or in private celebrity dinners.
Yin Yang Vegetable, RM10.00
It was just a mixed stir-fry Choysum and Kailan with garlic which is light, fresh kind of chrunch and healthy fiber dish.
Steamed Tilapia with Signature Assam Sauce, RM33.00
Steamed tilapia with brinjal, 4 seasons bean, long bean, tofu pok, onion, tomato, and red chili all in an assam base gravy that strikes a perfect balance of sweet, sour and spicy flavor. The fish were done perfectly too, without any muddy tastes that we sometimes associate with tilapia.
Braised Pork Knuckle, RM28.00 (half)
Perfectly cooked, with a soft texture and swimming in a dark delicious gravy. Slightly too fat, not meaty enough, mostly skin and fats but the fats were good...it will just melt in your mouth. It's a good dish if you're not watching your waistline, haha.
Total paid for dinner - 4 dishes with 4 x rice and 4 x drinks, RM118.30
