ORANGE EXPLOSIVE BEATS RESONATE AT GLENMORANGIE’S FIRST ORANGE PARTY IN KOTA KINABALU

Glenmorangie did everyone a solid when they held a party with a theme that somewhat share the same namesake as its spirit  – Orange Explosive Beats at Firely in KK Times Square last week. The maker of Scotland’s favorite single malt whiskey delivered on yet another vibrant party mixed with the woody aroma of their finest brew.

Glenmorangie’s first Orange-themed party took over Kota Kinabalu with a bespoke night at Firefly in KK Time Square on 26 October 2012, where single malt lovers gathered for a night of quirky revelry and some hedonistic enjoyment of “Unnecessarily Well Made” single malt whisky by Glenmorangie. Continuing a successful run of Orange-themed parties, Orange Explosive Beats was Glenmorangie’s first signature party outside the Klang Valley.

“The increasing demand for Glenmorangie single malt whisky here in Kota Kinabalu shown us that there is a growing appreciation here for single malt, and naturally, we decided to organize Orange Explosive Beats here in Kota Kinabalu to get closer to the local market. With unorthodox funk and a bespoke experience being the prime objective of every Orange night by Glenmorangie, Firefly was converted into an eccentric party enclave just for the night with Orange hues throughout. Making a special appearance at Orange Explosive Beats was the Glenmorangie Zest Serve, a curious looking serving contraption funnels Glenmorangie whisky through slivers of orange peel. The Glenmorangie Zest Serve infuses delicious tangerine to complement the notes of vanilla and citrus zest of the Glenmorangie Original – backbone of the Glenmorangie range.

As the crowd thickened within the citrus-splashed FireFly Bar and Grill, gorgeous Glenmorangie ambassadors were let loose to roam the floor armed with Polaroid cameras, snapping photos of guests as mementos for the night. Enter the live band ReVibe, who churned out a stellar set which kept guests on their feet as Orange Explosive Beats sailed into the night.

 

At the stroke of midnight, a steady flow of explosive beats commenced as DJ Nikki stamped her authority from behind the decks, with her signature lashings of House and Electro. The rest of the night was a flurry of euphoria, as guests danced away to yet another “Unnecessarily Well Made” party, specially put together by Glenmorangie.

 

Going out of the way has been the apparent trait in all the Glenmorangie Orange-themed events thus far, and this spirit stems from Glenmorangie’s tried and tested “Unnecessarily Well Made” identity; from using the tallest distillery stills in Scotland, to sourcing for the finest white oaks from Missouri for maturation casks that are only ever used twice.

Crowds begin to build up at Firefly even before the traditional hours to quench their burning throat from the day's labor with the sultry smooth single malt whiskey. The kind hosts graciously offered revelers a taste of the fine stuff on the house, before long party goers ordered heaps, to drown themselves in this hedonistic mood, set by great music produced by talented band.

 

 

 

To sweetened the deal even more with these already happy party goers, the hosts offered free gifts for merrymakers who don themselves in colors synonym with the night's theme - Orange.
