Among the dish we had, sisig pampanga was the first to arrive. This is sizzling diced pork, which can be eaten with rice.
Sisig Pampanga RM8.00
Next, we had ampalaya con carne, which is bitter gourd cooked with beef. The beef was tender and tasty gravy. The gourd was also fresh and firm.
Ampalaya Con Carne RM8.00
Next up we had Kare-kare, which according to the description in the menu is beef cooked in mouth-watering peanut sauce. And when the dish arrived, it certainly did not disappoint. The peanut sauce is not you average satay sauce, or rojak sauce. Although not as spicy, but still just as tasty and unique.
Kare-Kare RM10.00
Last but not least, we had tinolang manok, which is chicken ginger soup. The soup packed some heat from the ginger, as well as spice from chili that looked like jalapeno. Besides that, it was also very tasty and nice, while the chicken was cooked well and tender.
Tinolang Manok RM9.00
Overall, it was a good dinner and a nice authentic environment although some dish has an acquired taste.
