Restoran Grouper Wong Khee @ Section 19, PJ
Loong Tan (Estuary Grouper) is one of the largest saltwater fish of grouper family which can grow up to 50kg, only Sabah and Pulau Ketam are suited as a habitat for the Loong Tan. Loong Tan has a jelly-like skin and its meat which has a steak-like texture, it can fetch around RM110 per kg. Loong Tan is sought for choice morsels like its skin, fins and filleted flesh. Wong Khee Restaurant brought in their fishes from Pulau Ketam in Selangor and some came from Sabah. Wong Khee Restaurant specializes in Loong Tan noodles and Teo Chew-style porridge. What caught my attention is the Loong Tann (estuary grouper) fillet noodles, a bowl costs RM20.80. Price was no object as long as the food is good, the portions are decent and the estuary grouper slices are fresh. Normally you can only get this dishes in Sabah and Sarawak
