Seemingly untouched by any of the newfound trendiness of Chinese cooking in London, Mandarin Kitchen relies on an established reputation for seafood to fill its cavernous premises. The restaurant has been a landmark for well over a quarter of a century. Still, the banquettes are comfy, and Chinese business people continue to lunch at the large round tables, perhaps choosing the renowned lobster with noodles (which is usually expertly cooked). Tourists feature strongly in the evenings.

Asian restaurants begin serving steaming hot dishes that trace back hundreds years, the traditional Chinese medicine suggest eating “heating” foods during cold spells. In Hong Kong, the cold-blooded snake is a favorite ingredient for warming up. Traditionally served from a family-run stalls, snake soup purportedly speeds up blood circulation and banishes winter aches. The reptile meat is sweetened with chrysanthemum and herbs, is chopped into a very un-snake-like appearance for serving and said to taste like chicken.

Bak kut teh ("pork rib tea"), this is quite a popular family get togethers dinner meal especially during rainy season. The ambience of this restaurant is fractionally more upscale than the nearby BKT shop, but prices are actually quite reasonable. Bak kut teh is usually eaten with rice and often served with youtiao (Chinese fried cruller) for dipping into the soup, here they serve bak kut teh noodle as well for the price of RM10 per bowl. Soy sauce (usually light soy sauce, but dark soy sauce is also offered) is preferred as a condiment, with which chopped chilli padi and minced garlic is taken together. Chinese tea of various kind is also usually served in the belief that it dilutes or dissolves the copious amount of fat consumed in this pork-laden dish

“The fuzz” are strands of cobweb-like connective tissue that develop between the muscles and between muscle groups when we fail to move our bodies around in all the magnificent ways it can move. These strands of connective tissue multiply and bind together during long periods of inactivity (like when we sleep). As time passes the fascia thickens and hardens between those once juicy, smooth and slippery surfaces rendering them less and less able to slide and glide past one another. As the individual muscles lose their ability to move freely and independently of other muscles our movements become less multi-dimensional and refined. We call this ‘stiff’.

Borough Market is set beneath the railway viaducts between the river Thames and Borough High Street in South East London. It sprawls around an atmospheric series of mazy streets and walkways and as well as the labyrinthine central area there are two more self contained markets. With a large part of Three Crown Square currently closed for the Thameslink development programme, many of the traders are now housed in the newly-covered Jubilee Market, while the Green Market hosts a wide variety of smaller stalls. The Market is open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with Saturday being busiest after 11am. The sensible shopper gets here between 8am and 10am for the pick of the day. Thursday is usually a relaxed shopping day and our demonstration chef is on hand for ideas, tips and demonstrations in the Jubilee Market.

Hana Japanese Restaurant at City Mall found success through their combination of good services and good food, it's a friendly restaurant with fast service and an interesting menu. Even though there are many Japanese restaurant in KK now, there’s always a crowd at Hana. It is located opposite Old Town White Coffee, Big Apple Donuts and Papparich Cafe. There are seats available outside for smokers and private room too for diners that prefer more privacy. We heard that they are serving up some good Japanese curry dishes, tonight we are here for it!

A very popular Japanese restaurant that specializes, as its name suggests, in Sushi, Sashimi and The extensive menu with plenty of choices including maki, yakitori, tempura, etc.... The design is simple, yet nice, with clean lines and a huge aquarium... The place gets packed during dinner so you should make a point to get there before 7 pm or else... you'll have to join the queue.

Situated right in the heart of Chinatown, ‘Golden Pagoda’ is a restaurant which promises efficient service and wonderful food-a combination that many other restaurants in Chinatown have yet to master. Famous for its wide variety of dim-sum which is made by Wai Sui Yu a talented chef, especially when it comes to steamed dumplings. Highlights included crunchy Chiu Chow fun gor (sticky rice flour dumplings) packed with diced pork and peanut, and gorgeous scallop dumplings topped with spicy XO chilli sauce. Pan-fried pork dumplings also impressed, each tiny crescent was filled with moist meat and tasty soup stock. This restaurant promises never to disappoint whether you are looking for a quick meal just before you head to the theatre or if you are looking for a decent sit-down meal complimented by friendly efficient customer service.

It is never difficult to find Wat Tan Hor in Malaysia, whether is in restaurant, food court or hawker stall, because it is just simply so popular. It also called Cantonese Style Hor Fun or Gong Fu Chow Hor Fen, slightly fried Hor Fun with a thick egg starch gravy, plus some pork meat, vegetable, prawn and squid. Its presentation is superb and with its unique savory wok smell, is pretty hard for one to resist its temptation. Although Wat Tan Hor can be found everywhere, but it's not easy to find a good one. I finally found it and other delicious dishes at Bornion Restaurant.

Recently Party Play Lifestyle Cafe has expended their outlet, better still, at certains day 'live music' available too. As most said the food is very good and operate by an experienced chef, I wonder, maybe that’s the reason we were there for 2 consecutive night. Party Play is really first of its kind cafe in Sabah, expect reasonably priced hotel-grade western and local food from here. Cafe's menu was designed to look like magazine, the owner/chef is a French-trained and has been extending his cooking profile in many countries.

Sun Sea Restaurant is always packed during lunch hour, so finding a table was no easy task here. What I find interesting here? It's their pork noodles are serve with extra ingredients "seafood" allowing more flavour than other pork noodles. This is thier special induced recipe, a bowl of noodle would usually come with some prawns, squids and the usual pork intestines, pork meat and liver.

If noodles are your choice, then check out Nooodles which serves a mix originating from Penang as well as from Hong Kong and Taiwan. Nooodles is a local brand with outlets in KLIA and suprisingly at the satellite terminal at the Melbourne International Airport and at the Sydney International Airport. Most favourite is the dried wanton noodle and the herbal soup noodle. Healthy and super-licious! I also have to mention that the serving portions are huge which is suitable for my big appetite. There are over 20 Noodle Station outlet in Malaysia with their first opened in April 2005 in Kota Bharu, Kelantan with a team of twelve crews. That very first week they served a massive crowd of patrons who simply fell in love at first sight with Noodle Station’s delicious food and excellent services. In July 2006, Noodle station opened its second outlet on the second floor of KB Mall and has been capturing almost every layers of patronage from youngsters to families. Their strength lies in their product consistency, uncompromised quality, chic ambience, speed and efficient computerized operational system. Besides their specialty springy egg noodles, they also serve western food, sandwiches, rice dishes, childrens' meals and more.

Che Chai Noodle is one of the famous noodles in Hong Kong. Che Chai noodle is most famous in Sai Kung area and you must try if you happen to visit there. Che Chai noodles" is also a Hong Kong traditional food. It was meant to be a very cheap kind of food for working-class, so the ingredients are something very cheap, such as fish balls, radishes, squids and etc. You can choose different ingredients for different noodles. With the improved living standards, the need of cheap food became less necessary, but this kind of noodles are still popular among the more upper-class customers. So today the ingredients have a larger variety, less regard of the price. For the noodles, there are many different choices, such as: rough, vermicelli, rice noodles, instant noodles, or udon.

This is my favourite Chee Cheong Fun van at Taman Desa. Nowaday, an increasing number of food vans can be seen in recent years but they are tapping a different clientele. Besides pasar malam, food vans dishing out local delights such as lok-lok (now with the halal version), roasted sweet potatoes and fried noodles like to station themselves near pubs and cafes to catch the supper crowd. Trucks selling cendol and rojak are still extremely popular. One can often see a long line of cars parked along busy roads, just for that refreshing shaved ice and hot crispy fritters. If the crowd does not come to you, it is never a bad idea to go to them. Some restaurants send their vans to office areas dishing out hot food.

This place was favourite among locals because of it cozy ambience, prompt services, reasonably good food and affordable pricing. A great place for western food and hang out place with friends without burning a hole in your pocket, haha! It's nicely decorated with old school items, giving it a very retro and ancient-looking, a charming environment. For drink, I highly recommended you try their Signature Sun Tea, which came in a cute pot meant for 2 persons, tasted like a mixture of Ribena, lemon juice and flower tea, a refreshing and sourish drink.

A wide variety of seafood consisting different type of fishes, prawns, crabs and squids are ready to be cook upon ordering. Despite doubting the hygienic of the food, it is definitely worthwhile to give it a shot.
