SS2 Wai Sek Kai Hawker Centre @ SS2, Petaling Jaya
It's been years that I have never drop by SS2 Wai Sek Kai, tonight we were here because of the new I-Taiwan Snack Stall which was highly recommended by my friend. Now you can see the hawker centre is not as happening as it used to be, that's cause by too many restaurants in this surrounding area. SS2 also used to be a food haven in PJ but I guess not anymore....please forgive me if I'm wrong...Ooops! Sorry.

What makes a great pizza? Everyone has different versions of the perfect pizza, and to me, a great pizza has absolutely thin crust that is crispy at the edges, light, has cheesy toppings and most importantly, wood-fired. That, coupled with the fact that I’m a sucker for Italian food, landed us at La Risata one fine evening with some lovely company. It was my first time there, and the dining area boasted raw brick walls which gave it a casual yet cosy ambience especially on a rainy night.

After the nice lunch at Donald and Lily's Corner and Sun May Hiong Satay House, Corrine and Chee Wai suggested we go for a durian cendol and Gula Melaka Chendol inside the San Shu Gong building named Lao Qian Ice Cafe. By Habe: Cafe Barbera Since 1870 @ Bangsar
Cafe Barbera is a franchise of an Italian based food and beverage company, Barbera Caffe Co. Origins in Messina Italy, since 1870. It has a history of over 139 years of the finest preparations of gourmet coffees in Italy. Since I'm a coffee lover and I like strong coffee, it give me a high temptation to try it out! Cafe Barbera is located on its own Italian mansion designed building. Now you don't have to fly to Italy to indulge in a good cup of Italian coffee, you have it in Bangsar. This cafe have a very Italian feel of interior, playing a soothing Italian classical music.

A food review invitation by Mr. Azaiiman (Promotion Manager) with bloggers. La Risata (define as laughter in Italian) has been patronized by expatriates and locals for the last 15 years, it serve authentic Italian food in a tucked away suburb of Ampang. Recently, the restaurant had moved a few doors down the shophouses, in bigger double storey unit, with a stunning interior of exposed brick and antique chandelier. Furnitures were specially handpicked by Lissa Yeoh (restaurant owner/ partner). Restaurant upper floor is perfectly fit for a company events and parties.

Kuchai Lama Food Court (KLFC) has re-open again, relocated to another location, along Old Klang Road and Off Jalan Puchong. It's most happening at night, with 70 stalls to choose from, very crowded and almost impossible to find a parking space, the road at the parking area is a bit bumpy. Food was a little pricey compare to the kopitiam but you get a wide selection here. Just give it a try, explore your tastebud!

We wanted to taste what's the local here eating, so we called our Melaka origin friend's for recommendation. She directed us to this coffee shop for a good homey cooked food. This shop was crowded at dinner time, with local diners, the server told us that we have to wait 30 minutes for our order, we are ok with it cause I think it's worth the wait. They serve good fried Hokkien noodle, Watan Hor, Sweet and sour pork and etc.

Pork Satays, our second stop after Donald and Lily's Corner Nyonya food. Sun May Hiong Satay House was highly recommended by many foodies, but some said it was overrated. Well, there's no such food that fit everyone tastebud, acquire taste! The dipping sauce for pork satay is pineapple-based satay sauce, it goes well with it and again for me, it's good not sure about you! Nicely blended pineapple sauce with a distinctive sweet and spicy taste. You'll get the usual ketupat and sliced cucumber as side dish. Price at RM0.60 per stick and they will keep refilling for you and only charge by the amount you ate.

Nasi Lemak @ Seapark, PJ
This Indian stall here in Seapark is one of KL people top choice place for nasi lemak. It has no specific name or signboard, it's only operated at night on a rented section of Sun Fatt Kee coffee shop. We all named it 'Seapark Nasi Lemak'. Here, they serve a good fluffy and aromatic coconut rice (piping hot), sambal just spicy enough, side with crunchy anchovies, peanuts and top with a sunny side up. They only serve Nasi Lemak and Indomie here, both are their signature's dish.

The original Nyonya laksa is enriched with various spices and cooked without curry powder, there are many places in Melaka serving Nyonya laksa, my top pick is Donald and Lily’s. It's in an old house built before World War II, interesting heritage though! A unique dining ambience with an authentic homey character. If you come during weekend lunch hours, please be prepare to wait, there will be a long queue! It has been featured and reviewed by many medias, including 8TV Ho Chak programme.

I-Taiwan recently started their stall operation at the SS2 Wai Sek Kai Hawker Centre, serving Taiwanese street food Crispy Chicken, fried mushroom and fried sweet potato. Taiwanese fried chicken is soaked in special sauce before frying, and its taste is mixed with spicy pepper and aromatic herbals, and the meat quality is tender and juicy, it's of its own kind other from common western style fried chicken.

Se Wong Yee @ Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
At Se Wong Yee, snake soup is one of the most common variations with the locals, who remain traditional about their food, despite the rapid changes in the city. Hong Kong residents prefer their snake soup, said to increase blood circulation and cure aches, as nourishment during winter. Among the best places to go on Hong Kong Island is Se Wong Yee, nestled in vibrant Causeway Bay. Even Anthony Bourdain will have to stand in line to get in, and probably share a table in this crammed, no-frills establishment dedicated to packing them in and kicking them out. Every social stratum in Hong Kong comes here, from families to old aunties eating together to teenagers ignoring one another while they text. The waiters, in light-brown uniforms, can help you with English-language menus before the food is brought out by men in white shirts and thick rubber boots, which should give an idea of what the kitchen floor is like. The snake soup costs HK$52 , but most order the combo set, HK$78, which comes with rice, vegetables and duck liver sausage.
