Amber Chia Academy Amber Chia's brainchild. Amber Chia is no stranger to the Malaysian public. An internationaly renowned model and actress, and undoubtedly one of Malaysia’s most recognisable celebrity, her ascend to stardom was far from an overnight success but rather a challenging path of hard-work, trials, tribulations and a learning journey. Her’s experience from over a decade of being in the modelling industry, has given her a wealth of knowledge and the know-hows of the industry which includes not just all the demands of becoming a successful model, but also how to strike a balance in our every day life, including personal health, grooming and image. As most Malaysians would have already known, Amber became the first Asian model in history to win a global model search competition when she won the Guess! Timeless Beauty 2004/2005 title. Since then, her rise to stardom includes over 200 magazine covers, 2,000 runway shows and countless photo shoots for the top fashion brands and top photographers in the world, including the likes of Guess!, Jimmy Choo, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Victoria Beckham and Gucci just to name a few.

Benjamin Toong, is the co-founder of the academy who is also the “catwalk guru” has quickly risen to fame and prominence following his stint as the head model trainer for Ford Models’ Supermodel of the World Malaysia. His recognition is well-earned as he has produced some of the most exciting fashion shows and fashion models Malaysia has seen. Well-known for his signature act of strutting the runway in 9-inch heels, Benjamin brings an invaluable experience in modeling, styling, fashion and knowledge in all areas necessary to become a successful model.

The launch of the 4th Amber Chia Academy on 8th December 2011 coincided with the celebration of her 30th birthday. What a brilliant way to celebrate both life and success! I am greatly honoured and sincerely grateful to have been invited to this event. To brush shoulders with the big names of not only the Malaysian fashion and entertainment history but also with the big names on the international scene is indeed a great honour.

The event was attended by the big names like the world-renowned designer, Dato Jimmy Choo and by public figures in the Malaysian community, among whom is the current Miss Malaysia, Kimberly Ann Estrop-Legett.

Amber Chia looked extraordinarily stunning, in a long sleeve fitting red dress. A simple, understated but yet glamourous look is perfect the event. Amber Chia, is without a doubt, Malaysia's most successful supermodel and I certainly know why!

Wafa Johanna de Korte winner in the female category of Aisa Model Festival Awards New Face Model  Search. Wafa vowed the judges with her exotic Malay-Dutch parentage looks, standing tall at 176cm and only age 17. She will be representing Malaysia in the annual Asia New Face Search in Seoul, South Korea 2012.

Kurt Chin Ke Liang, runner-up of the male category Asia Model Festival Award New Face Model Search, Malaysia 2011 also will be representing Malaysia in the annual Asia New Face Model Search in Seoul, South Korea 2012.
