10th Anniversary of Citrine One & 5th Anniversary of Biz Sphere Annual Dinner Celebration @ Tapis Rouge, Kota Damansara

I was invited to an annual dinner last night which was in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of Citrine One and also the 5th anniversary of BIZSPHERE. I am as always extremely grateful for such invitations.

A little background on Citrine One and BIZSPHERE:
Citrine One was established in 2001 as a media and marketing communications consultancy firm with a primary focus to help our clients achieve the right positioning in the minds of their targeted media and their markets. Ivlynn Yap Cheng Teng, the founder and managing director of  Citrine One is an eloquent speaker and trainer who has conducted many media training to many top executives, from her well working experienced of 15 years in journalism, public relations and marketing communications.
BIZSPHERE is an integrated brand management company which helps business realize its brand potential and derive effective brand strategies. BIZSPHERE's founder and managing consultant is one impressive individual. He is Yap Keng Teck. Keng Teck who is a popular speaker in Brand and Marketing topics was the Executive Committee of Branding Association of Malaysia.

Prior to setting up Bizsphere Sdn Bhd, Keng Teck helmed the Strategic Marketing Division for SKALI, a local e-business specialist, as Head of Strategic Marketing and Communications. During his 5 years tenure in SKALI, he steered the company's strategic marketing communications plans which encompassed Public Relations, Advertising, Internal and External Communications as well as Brand Positioning. Keng Teck also has a deep understanding of the Financial Services Industry, having worked in Hong Leong Bank in the Strategic Marketing and Product Development Department.

Keng Teck's brand expertise helped SKALI, Mayflower and In-Comix in obtaining RM2mil each; and INSPIDEA obtained RM1mil; all under the Brand Promotion Grant to enhance their brand in corporate markets. He was also the top 3 finalist of Malaysia's first corporate reality show - "The Firm" on ntv7 where he has demonstrated his leadership skills that is admired by many.

His project experience includes great brands like Mayflower Acme Tours, In-Comix Food Industries, JOVEN, Kian Contracts, OLDTOWN, Muar Ban Lee, Inspidea and many more.

 

BIZSPHERE's Senior Brand Brand Consultant and Retail Branding Director Tham Kok Jau is also no less impressive. He brings with him more than 12 years of experience in consumer market research and retail brand marketing. He began his career in qualitative research with Dynamic Search, one of the Malaysia’s leading consumer market research agencies, working on a wide spectrum of consumer brands. He then moved on to brand management with some of the world's biggest fast-moving consumer goods companies such as Colgate-Palmolive, Johnsob & Johnson and Fonterra brands

During his years in consumer market research, Kok Jau worked with some of the biggest retail brands, such as Sunsilk, Walls, Dettol, Dunhill and Carlsberg to gather important consumer insights. As a marketer, he has also won numerous internal and industry awards for his efforts in driving successful branding and marketing initiatives, which led to significant business growth for the various brands he has managed.

Kok Jau's experience in working through the ranks in consumer market research and brand management has provided him strong foundamentals in understanding the consumers, as well as in both operational and strategic aspects of marketing and brand building.
