"Press Launch of Juara Resipi Sri Kulai" 29th November 2011 and "Opening of Sri Kulai 5th Outlet at KL City Walk". The Hunt for Malaysia's Culinary Entrepreneur Reality Show on Apa Kata Wanita TV1 (collaboration between Sri Kuali, Apa Kata Wanita TV1 and Tesco). Although this post is titled "Press Launch of Juara Resipi Sri Kulai", I am not just talking merely about the reality TV show which is broadcasted on TV1 through its popular talk show, Apa Kata Wanita hosted by Zamzarina Zambri.

Recently I've been practicing Vinyasa Yoga taught by Edwin and Pilates taught by Evon, at Celebrity Fitness Mid Valley and it has improved my yoga practice to a whole new level. I did some yoga photos shoot down the lobby at garden area of my home, as an assessment or record. Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement", it covers a broad range of yoga classes. The teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale, which will create a flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. Vinyasa yoga allows for a lot of variety, but will certainly include Sun Salutations. At Vinyasa class, expect movement, not just stretching. Whether the class is fast or slow, includes meditation, or is very alignment-oriented will depend on the individual teacher. I was invited, along with a number of other bloggers for a food review of the new Cafe Barbera @ Sunway Pyramid. This was an event organised by Mr Deric Lee from Cafe Barbera (Sea) Sdn. Jojo's Kitchen has another branch in SS2 located on the same row as McDonalds. They are serving pa huge variety of pan mee here, from dry to soup in various kinds of noodle form and toppings. This small little restaurant on weekdays or weekends are always jam packed, you might find that you have to queue for a table during lunch hours. It is not easy to find something cheap and nice to eat for lunch or dinner, that's why Jojo Pan Mee always sardine packed with people during lunch time, cause it's cheap and nice.

Traditional Recipe Restaurant serves an array of Chinese food and delicacies, with a variety of noodle, rice, porridge, soup, dumplings and side dishes. homemade dessert also available here, traditional tea, cold and hot beverages, ice blended and even liquor beverages. Currently they have two branches, one in Kuchai Lama and another in Kota Damansara. The restaurant is decorated with many wooden ornaments and newspaper cuttings of food reviewed they had featured in.

Overtime appeals to the like of night-goers with a genre it calls its own. Designed with three concepts of ambiance, it has a spacious alfresco chill out area with garden concept, a fun pub counter and a VIP corner, thoughtful enough to cater to broad taste and discerning minds. With scrumptious meals and sensational drinks to savour, this entertainment outlet gives a whole new meaning to the term “Overtime”. Stärker mug RM16++, 2 bottles of Black Label RM594 NETT. Plenty of snacks and main dishes, signature dish including Crispy pork knuckle. Food price ranges from RM14-RM56.

Based on my personal list of favourite, Claypot Chicken Rice serve in Kedai Kopi Tenom is one of the best that I can find in KK during the night.

A warm and cozy cafe with a new dining experience, offering fusion cuisine with the mixed of Asian and Western. Something not to be miss,Lavazza delicious cakes and desserts as well as their special beverages from the bar. Lavazza Cafe specialises in Fusion Cuisine, Homemade Patisserie and Designer Cake for birthday, celebration and private party.

Today Highlight : Gecko's Alcoholic Ice Cream and Gecko's Specialty "Spicy Chicken Merguez Sausage". Gecko a new Restaurant-Bar-Lounge joint at PJ Trade Centre, Damansara Perdana, does not serve pork but offers alcohol on its menu (free Wi-Fi). Offering Western and Chinese food on their menu, with their house specialty like sausage with mash, pasta, steaks, fried noodles, grills, alcoholic ice cream (rich homemade alcoholic ice-cream price from: RM10 to RM15 per serving), desserts, shisha and more! Gecko also serves an array of alcoholic drinks, as well as shisha with prices from RM15 onwards. 

The Press Room, conveniently located at the front of Bangsar Shopping Centre, is an interpretation of a vintage European brasserie. The emphasis is on simple Anglo-French brasserie food made from the finest ingredients, served in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to satisfy the demands of today's discerning clientele.

Bak Kut Teh also spelled as Bah Kut Teh is popular Chinese Soup in Malaysia. The name literally translated as 'Meat Bone Tea', consists of meaty pork ribs simmered in a complex broth of herbs and spices for hours.

The specialty of Face to Face’s Pan Mee differential them from others competitor and established itself on the market since 2006, the founder decided to start a restaurant specializing in making traditional Sarawakian noodles and Pan Mee. Face to Face Noodles House, a Pan Mee specialty restaurant concept soon became a trend and grown fast in food and beverage industry which is unexpected by the founder. He creatively came up with different varieties of Pan Mee which complement with different types of homemade chili and sambal for customer satisfaction.

Tanjung Tualang Prawn House (Peranakan Cuisine) is a Halal restaurant located at Kota Damansara  which is famous for its fresh water prawns, been in business for about 5 years. Dorothy Ong (Managing Director) save your hassle to travel all the way to Tanjung Tualang, a town famous for fresh water prawns in Perak, by ensuring you their restaurant only uses live fresh water prawns from Tanjung Tualang. They are only of a few restaurant in PJ that offer live fresh water prawns, compared to frozen, the fresh one has a far superior texture and fragrance. Yoshino Ramen Shokudo has become one of my favourite ramen place located right next to Starbuck Cafe. It has a nice ambient and I highly recommended you try the food here, it's good. They serve a very good pork ramen here.

This is SNOWFLAKE's 4th outlet located in the heart of Kuchai Entrepreneurs Park. The concept for this store was "Clean White". You will notice the lighting effects feature on the side wall as you walk in. When we reach here, it was already crowded wih people inside and long queues, everyone are patiently waiting to buy and collect their  dessert. People keep on coming and the queue is getting longer. This certainly proved how good Snowflake is and located at the right place.

Kassim Curry House is one of my personal favourite's place for a plate of Maggi Goreng and a Roti Canai with a glass of Sirap Limau.

Bayu Timor has been in business for more than 10 years, it is a furniture shop selling Asian decor cum cafe offering quality local and western delights food with a cozy kind of ambient. All the furnitures displayed are for sale including the tables and chairs that customers actually sitting on it. Pu Yuan Restaurant is most famous for Fried Sweet Potato Flour Noodles, located along Old Klang Road . Affordable food price and with 20 years of legacy for quality and authenticity of the food, well worth dining place. Been featured in various newspaper cuttings, media coverage and publications ranting about this quaint place that has been in existence since the late 80′s and even has been featured in 8TV’s food program Ho Chak!

Kechara Oasis Restaurant founder Irene Lim (Director) is an avid traveller and well-versed in Buddhist philosophy, health, nutrition, food, meditative equipoise and tantra. Kedai Kopi Lotus is one of the locals favourite spot for great food. Apart from the simple Chinese dishes, they also serves noodles, rice, Grilled Fish, Grilled Chicken Wings and Dumplings.

Nasi goreng pattaya, or simply nasi pattaya, is a Malaysian dish made by covering or wrapping chicken fried rice, in fried egg. It is often served with chili sauce and cucumber. The name comes from Pattaya, Thailand.

A new Hot Stone Bowl and Ramen restaurant opened recently at a new 1 Shamelin Mall in Cheras district. If you feel like having Japanese, but don't want to overspend, this place offers hot stone chahan and ramen at a relatively affordable price. I've sampled a variety of dishes here, apart from the usual ramen broths (miso, tonkatsu), you can try their ramen cooked in spices, sesame soup and with dipping on the side. Hot stone bowl fried rice, especially the unagi and chicken teriyaki, are pretty good. The service and the portions are good too.

Old Klang road is really a food heaven for me, to my suprise I found another hidden gem for good fried noodle and some home cooked dishes at this restaurant. With only less then 10 tables but never short of regulars customer keep dropping by, to buy take away and dine in. Judging by the look and smell of Hokkien mee ordered by the table next to us, I'm sure it's pretty good, will try it on my next visit!

If you drove along Old Klang Road, from Pearl Hotel towards the newly opened Tesco, a bit before the junction into Jalan Kuchai Lama, you will notice a sign board by the road side ‘Hokkien Mee’. Food here are pretty good and you should try the Wantan Mee here!

Coffee Friends is a well-known cafe in Tanjung Aru Plaza, mainly for its good food and affordable pricing. While the cafe specialize in Italian cuisine, they also offer both the Western and Local cuisine.

Invitation to the "Grand Opening of Shogun @ Soho KL, Solaris Mont Kiara on the 17th Nov 2011". If I have to describe Shogun's latest outlet in one sentence, it would be this: A massive restaurant offering a scrumptious healthy Japanese buffet with a little twist. Umai Bento House, located in Kuchai Lama serves Japanese and Chinese food along wih the ever popular bubble tea. You'll be delighted by the cotemporary Japanese infused interior that will have you thinking of sakura flowers and anime. Offering a variety of bento and teppanyaki set meal with the price start from RM7.90!

SRS My Cafe is a new cafe in 1Borneo, serving mostly Malaysia local food and Western food at an affordable prices. However, you'll also find a few Korean dishes in their Menu.

Madras Lane Rice Noodles originated from Jalan Sultan, Chinatown. Since Madras Cinema burnt down in 1979, thet have called it Madras Lane hanging to the memory of Madras Cinema (story told by Wan Siew Yee, the chee cheong fun lady). This hawker stall is famous for their 5 dishes: curry noodles, assam laksa, yong tau foo, chee cheong fun and frying fish paste (aromatic of tamarind, coconut milk and paste).

Ficelle Boulangerie Patisserie (under the same management as Levain Boulangerie) is a great place for an alfresco Sunday brunch. Pastry lovers will thrive here with the great selections of bread and pastry. Recently recommended by KLUE's. This wonderful, charming little patisserie hidden away deep in Taman Danau Desa is only 15 minutes away from Midvalley Megamall.

Bisou Bake Shop opened her doors in June, 2007 on Heritage Row were then moved to Bangsar Village when they become well-knowned and opened a second store in KLCC. At Bisou Bake Shop you'll be sporting a selection of homestyle cupcakes, cakes and cookies, there is something to suit every palate. With 13 cupcake flavours everyday and an additional “Cupcake of the Month”, cupcake lovers are spoilt for choice. And for those who would perhaps prefer a bigger piece of cake, they have a fabulous selection that includes our very famous Banoffee Pie and a Real Black Forest Gateau.

Making pasta at home takes effort, but can be lots of fun. Though it's often easier to buy pasta in a store, there is something special about making it from scratch. Perhaps, greater satisfaction.
