Wedding wear: In China, the tight fitting cheongsam is a more popular version these day compare to the traditional "qi pao" which is more modest. In the Southern part of China, "qun gua" are more worn by women for their wedding, it was used to be women daily outfit back in the day. However, during the wedding these outfit were adorned with elaborated stitch work and embellishments depicting images of the golden phoenix and dragon. For the tradition, bride will wear a red veil on her wedding day, her groom will only see how's his bride looks like on the wedding night.
