Everyday Food I Love

New Japanese Restaurant open recently, we purposely make our plan to go for lunch there. Normally, on Saturday we will just hang around 1 Borneo for lunch and movie. Worth dropping by, it's a very pleasant, friendly atmosphere restaurant, with a promising good Japanese food. I guess everyone are craving for Japanese food now, thanks to the Astro on demand on channel 921, a tvb series o Japanese Culinary. This is how advertising work so well, if you keep seeing the same thing appear right in your eyes, you'll want it!

In Menggatal, Kedai Kopi Ban Hing is famous for its buns and baos as well as is a place for a simple breakfast. Recently, they had even branched out to Iramanis, with more variety of pastry and buns.

One of the recommended food in HK is the claypot rice or more well-known as 'Bo Chai Fan'. During the winter season in Macau, it is the best time to have Bo Chai Fan at Shun Kee Restaurant.

The Manhattan Fish Market home-grown restaurants with more then 15 outlets in the Klang Valley, Eas Malaysia, Singapore and Bangkok. It's casual dining seafood restaurant, Dr Jeffrey Goh the founder who is a dentist-turned-politician and businessman with a Singaporean partner. Decorated with a cozy furnishing, friendly and clean atmosphere. We were celebrating mum's birthday here!

My mum, brother and I had a western and asian lunch at Top Hat @ Jalan Stonor. What a cute road, Jalan Stone-r. Hahaha! Anyway, Top Hat has a really nice ambiance. Lots of antiques, wood furniture and lovely collection of china and statues etc.

Widely known for its good food and reasonable price, Kedai Kopi Hilltop offers a variety of dishes under one roof. From seafood, Tai Chow and Wor Tip to Grilled Fish and Western food, you'll definitely be spoil by choices.

American food, how should we define it really? I have never been to the USA so I can’t be a good judge on what really constitutes good American food except that it should involve steak, lots of fries and a big portion! Save from the big portion part (to cater to the local’s portion) , I have found a restaurant that serves a hearty steak and generous amount of fries with reasonable prices. Also, if a name like Kennedy’s doesn’t scream American enough, I don’t know what would.

Zhuhai is known for its beautiful long coastline, waving palm trees, open spaces, low population density, and its many islands; Zhuhai's nicknames are the city for lovers and the city of a hundred islands.

Fasten your seatbelts as Ho Chi Minh City is a metropolis on the move, I'm not just talking about the motorbikes that throng the streets. Saigon, as it’s known to all but city officials, is Vietnam at its most dizzying: a high-octane city of commerce and culture that has driven the whole country forward with its limitless energy. It is a living organism that breathes life and vitality into all who settle here, and visitors cannot help but be hauled along for the ride.

On our way back from Rasa Ria after the private yoga session, we passed-by some local stalls along Jalan Salut selling cheap Coconut Juice, grilled Lokam and some snack.

YOICHI specialized in Japanese hotpot and cuisine, promising good food that will get you hook on it, they're doing their best making non-believers into believers that Japanese cuisine is the new comfort food. Once you walk into a Yoichi you won't be overwhelmed with the Japanese decor and music but you'll enjoy the casual atmosphere and today's hottest music or Japanese TV program, smily faces everywhere and friendly staff welcoming you through the doors.

Teochew Restaurant has made a name for itself with pork dishes in chinese herb broth and soy sauce. In the olden days, when one mentioned about teochew porridge, this dishes, pickled lettuce, salted duck egg and salt fish will immediately come to our mind. This day business minded people had broaden their horizon by adding  variety of dishes to go with it.

A Nice Dinner for Two at Less Than RM30? That’s right! If you’re interested to find out how to get this fabulous deal of less than RM30 for a splendid meal for 2 persons then read on. Frames is a relatively new restaurant located at Sunway Pyramid, just next to Starbucks at the main entrance. The restaurant is named such due to the abundance of framed photos hung around the walls. These photos are by no means plagiarized or bought off-the-shelf, instead they are actual genuine photos from the owner’s friends and customers. All the photos are not only there for decoration, they are also for sale!

One of the reason I like Italiannies besides of their classic design, is this free bread, LOL… The bread is really soft and nice. I know it’s a bit weird that I love the food at Italiannies but I don’t eat cheese. LOL~ I love their course meal set that only cost RM27.90++ with 1 appetizer and 1 main course. There were 3 of us but we only ordered 2 sets because we knew the portion is kinda big!

IRANIAN FOOD! First, I wanna tell you guys this, it’s healthy food. Really. This is my second time here, first time was back in 2008.

You get suprise for every visit cause no menu, it's entirely up to the chef  what to cook for you, based on the fresh ingredients of the day.

Located near KKIA, Kedai Kopi San Sui Baru seems to be well-known by the locals. From Fish Noodle and Fried Noodle to some simple Seafood dishes, the restaurant offers not only variety but also good food.

Our dinner today! This is a famous restaurant chain first opened its doors in the small town of Cianjur in West Java. After enjoying much success and a cult status over there, it expanded to Jakarta, opening its 'flagship' restaurant a couple of years ago. Ever since then, customers flocked the place from as far as the East Nusa Tenggara province. (Contributed by Habe)

There are 15 days of Chinese New Year according to the Lunar calendar so get ready your chopsticks for a lou-sang sessions with family, friends, colleagues, ex-schoolmates and so many different groups of people. Right after work today, I head straight to PJ suprisingly the road was traffic-free and I arrived the restaurant early, more time for me to snap photos!

Steam king is locatedted in Kota Damansara, among many restaurants here. Parking wil not be a problem here, there're some reserved parking lots in front of the shop for diners, just signal to them that you will be eating here and they’ll let you park right in front.

Located at Jalan Salut, known as KKIP Business Center, there are quite a few eateries offering the most authentic Malay cuisine and fusion Thai cuisine.

Trip to Vietnam was a total relaxation. Not much money spent but more to connecting with nature and myself (aiseh~ lol!). Before i forget everything that happened during my trip, i might as well share it asap here. So here goes...

Food, Booze and Sanook (Fun) by the Lake. Hidden within the trees and the quiet shop houses along Kelana Jaya is a row of swanky bars and restaurants facing the calm lake. It is surprising to know that this row of bars has been around for more than 2 years now but it’s my first time stepping my foot there. Surprising, because the environment feels nothing like being in the metropolitan – it’s peaceful, by the lake, cooling (at night) and away from the hustle and bustle of the chaotic traffic after work. It is, in other words, a break from the city. Among this row of bars is a place with the name Sanook, which also means “Fun” in Thai. Mum and I went to Empire Shopping Center for the very first time for lunch today, have a sumptuous lunch and indulging ourself with some homemade sweet dessert. (Contributed by CarelessLittleHamster)

Time flies…so fast one year pass again, this is my 2nd year having CNY celebration dinner with my boss and colleagues from the company I happily working with and we choose to have our reunion dinner at Lala Chong Seafood. (Contributed by MyFavouriteTaste)

If you haven't been dropping by this place, I think it's time for you to reassess it. I guess they have improve on thier food portion size and services, hmmm I'm not so sure...you tell me if I'm wrong, ok.

Top choice for a good bowl of porridge! We would never crave or go for porridge, not until one of us feeling under the weather, unwell. But this restaurant does cook up some good dishes other then porridge and I heard that their Kon Lau Mee also quite good, most patrons order Yong Tau Foo too!

Oasis Foodcourt which had been relocated to the 2nd floor Centre Court of Midvalley, next to Mac store and opposite Jusco, still managed to draw a huge crowds with its famous Portugese Grilled Fish's Stall and Pan Mee's Stall.

  Another great place for burgers, another great place with great ambiance. KL is a place full of surprises, full of delicious food.

A steaming hot bowl of  'Yu Chap' (Mixed Fish) with noodle and a small piece of Stuffed Beancurd, is just a perfect breakfast to have in KK.

Best of Sarawak Cuisine – Top 8 Dishes of Sarawak. One of the perks of staying in Malaysia is the diverse food and cuisines that one can experience here. There is a plethora of choices when it comes to food, be it from West Malaysia (Peninsular) or the East (Sabah and Sarawak). Since I don’t visit East Malaysia that often, I was happy to know that Hilton PJ took the effort to invite special guest Chef Jamilah all the way from Sarawak to showcase her vast knowledge and skill here. Sarawak is famed for its multi-ethnic population of Malay, Chinese, Indian, Iban, Penan, Kayan and other indigenous people, hence the culinary palate has slight influences from each culture.

'Convenient' is a word I used to describe this restaurant. Located at the shop lots in Kingfisher, near-by the housing area, 818 Restaurant serve Tai Chow dishes at a reasonable price.

A good plate of Nasi Lemak is hard to come-by in KK. For an undeniably good Nasi Lemak, Papparich will be in my top-list.

With its banner spotted around the Kingfisher's roundabout, the RM18.80++ with more than 138 dishes Steamboat Buffet, caught our attention.

Stir-fry Shanghai Nian Gao in Hokkien Style is one of the signature dish of Old Klang Road Famous Noodle Stall.

Every year when the Valentine’s Day is near, the air would always be filled with love songs, the surroundings filled with the colour red, and the cynics would be complaining about how this day is over-commercialized. For me, Valentine’s Day remains dear to my heart, not because of the significance of the date itself, but because of the special events that have happened the past few years since I’ve been with Saucer. In 2008, our Valentine’s Day was celebrated in Bali, where he painstakingly arranged a romantic dinner with the restaurant owner all the way from Malaysia. In 2009, our Valentine’s day was the day he proposed to me. And last year in 2010, we spent our Valentine’s Day honeymooning in beautiful Maldives.
