WELCOME SEAFOOD RESTAURANT
Bundusan, Penampang.
(Corner shop at the row of shop behind Super Tanker Restaurant)

It was Father's Day celebration. Some family members already got bored with Borneo Wild Restaurant and wanted seafood instead. Hence, we chose to dine at Welcome Seafood Restaurant which always serving good food.

However, sometimes we are quite hesitate to go there due to the heavy crowd. They just have too many patronages. True enough, no reservation was allowed on Father's Day and even we were there at 6pm, half of the tables were already occupied. By the time we finished our dinner, the crowd was already more like 'pasar malam'. Luckily it was rainy day and the weather was not hot n stuffy. Else, sometimes the hotness could be rather intolerable.

Seafood and crabs

Stir Fried Potato Leaves with garlic

Stir Fried "local vege = su zai choi" in garlic

Mongolian Style Pork

Kam Heong Crabs

Stew Fish Head in Claypot

Prawns - Cooked in boiling water till cook. Plain but nice to eat with the soya sauce

Pan Fried Ma Yau Fish - everyone like this dish though... :)

Stir Fried Pork Belly & Egg Plant with salted fish and dry chillies - looked spicy but not spicy at all. Appetizing to go with rice but the pork was too fat in my liking.

Price: RM220.00+

Looked like we ordered a lot dishes? Prob will shock you guys when I gotta say that everyone were looking for supper after that. Food wise - OK and good compliment for the fishes and prawn dishes. Surprisingly, portion was small even we already told the captain many times there were 11 'heavy-duty' adults dining. She even kept telling us you guys ordered too much dishes. and tried to cut down our dishes and portion. My uncle chose 6 crabs but the captain reduced to 5 for us. I insisted for 6 and she didn't look happy. The Mongolian Style Pork also an 'insited' dish as well. Chose 2 big fish head for the claypot fish head but she reduced to 1 too. Also, due to the heavy crowd, we were charged few more drinks which we didn't order as well.

Hence, if you choose to dine in here and if you are big eater like us, insist on the big portion and insist firmly on the number of dishes you need.

On the actual Sunday Father's Day, as usual, we had family dinner at my house . Intended to take photos of my mum's home-cooked food but was already too hungry by then. I bought a nice Cappuccino Cream Cheese Cake from Tong Hing Bakery for dessert. The cake was moist, soft and rich in cappuccino and cheese taste. Thumbs up!

Pan Mee RM5.00
I had heard a lot of bad review about Siang Siang Pan Mee previously. However, being a foodie, we shouldn't have negative perspective about food before trying it.

The noodle texture of the Pan Mee was springy and quite tasty. But the broth just tasted so-so. When we arrived, most of the ingredients for the Pan Mee already sold off. I only get to ordered minced pork and Fried Wantan as the ingredients for the Pan Mee. Though, the taste of the Pan Mee was not as bad as the review I had heard about.
Chicken Rice RM4.50
The Chicken Rice's stall at the shop seems to be quite popular as we saw quite a few of patrons having it. While we make our order, the Roasted Chicken already sold off. What left was only the Steamed Chicken and it was only around 1.00pm.

The rice was rich in aroma while the Steamed Chicken tasted not bad as well.
