Kedai Kopi Chew Yen @ Kolombong
Where to find good Sarawak kueh chap in KK? The place we are going to introduce today might not be a well known place because the shop location is quite secluded. Anyway, the food they serves are quite special which is hard to find in KK.
Kedai Kopi Chew Yen is located at Kolombong. The easiest way to get there is by making a left-turn from the junction to Inanam Bus Station(outstation buses), go straight-forward and make a left-turn again at the roundabout (the roundabout to Inanam bus station). It may sounds a bit complicated but it is not hard to find. After the left turn from the roundabout, just go straight-forward and you will see two row of shoplots at the right-hand side, both the corner-shop are restaurant, Kedai Kopi Chew Yen is just located at the corner-shop.
Huh(sighs)...Finally we were there. For your information, this restaurant only serves Sarawak kueh chap and Sarawak laksa. We ordered both to try.

Sarawak kueh chap RM5 (the kuey teow is square shape, eat together with pork head meat, pork ear, pork heart and beancurd)
the soup tasted good and go well with the noodles
Sarawak laksa RM5 ( noodles with fish cakes)
the soup is good but the fish cakes is too salty, it is nice to eat the noodles with the soup but not the fish cakes
The portion of the food is a bit small, just enough fill our stomach. No wonder we saw most of the people ordered an additional plate of pork.
